My Adults Night Out event was listed in the RedEye this week as one of "the" things to do in Chicago in September. This event just so happens to fall on my 35th birthday. In turn, this means that coming to my inadvertent 35th birthday party is one of THE things to do in the city of Chicago. Which means, I've arrived ;) Hahaha

In my last life I must have done something right to get to have it so good this time around. Two buddies with boats. Dozens of friends to enjoy them. Cold beer. Hot sun. Warm hearts. Lake Michigan. Laughter. Yes, please, thank you!

What an absolute honor, privilege, and pleasure to listen to the wise and wonderful words of Jane Goodall. 

Dame of Britain. 

United Nations Messenger of Peace. 

Friend to all chimpanzees. 

It's in moments such as these that I feel so unbelievably blessed that my job allows me to do exactly what I believe I am destined to be doing with my life. Needless to say, I cried at the end. May we all be so lucky to have an impact as powerful and everlasting as Jane Goodall. The world would certainly be a better place if this were the case.
