Stella's 1st Northwestern Game

On Saturday we introduced the next generation
to the longstanding Hall family tradition of
Northwestern Wildcat fandom :)

Most families wait in line to snag a photo with Willie the Wildcat. We pretty much just swooned around Stella like adoring paparazzi (so goes the story of her life) and spent more time watching her than the game itself.

This kid is SO loved!

Sven's Shower

When one of your besties requests a small bridal shower with fried chicken and Bloody Mary's... It's ON!

WE LOVE YOU, SVEN :)

*We also love Kim Crawford sauvongon blanc
and Maid of Honor toasts in her prom dress...

LET THE GOOD TIMES ROLL!

Trolley Time

A toast to one sensational summer!

"I'm gonna miss you most, Scarecrow!"

Was feeling all the feels saying goodbye to Joanna: my summer roommate who made me laugh everyday and blessed our entire block by bringing Stoop-id Tuesdays into our lives.

Music to my Earlobes

This Summer was sadly here-and-gone
but it certainly had an epic ending :)

The zoo staff all went to watch Krista jam out on the violin with her incredible band called "My Great Elephant" at Everybody's Coffee in Uptown.

Holy WOW were they spectacular!

During Krista's violin solo I looked around the room at everyone I've had the pleasure to work with these past two summers at Lincoln Park Zoo and couldn't help but to cry.  Gonna miss this group of kind, talented, smart, happy women so very much.

Last Week of Zoo Camp

Conservation Science Camp ends this Friday and I'm in complete denial that the Summer's coming to an end.

Gonna miss these munchkins SO much :(

One Year COMPLETE!!!

Just finished my 12th month of grad school.
Only 6 more months to go to get my Masters!

YAHOOO :)

Last night I wrote a final paper and rocked a final exam for the Science course I took this July/August... Never have I ever been so happy to pull off a B minus.

Let me just say that:

Working at a zoo full time with small children +
Summer social life +
Wanting to be outside at ALL times after polar vortex 1 & 2 +
Loving being in a new relationship +
Grad school 25 hours a week =

B Minus feels like an A Plus ;)

This is how I feel about Earth Science
(and pretty much life in general) right now:
