This week I was entirely WOWed by a few of my buddies who have all worked so hard to take an idea, and actually make it happen. I'm so incredibly inspired by, and proud of, each! 

In no particular order of accomplishment, 

my wholehearted KUDOS go out to...

Casey McGrath in NYC for producing his very 1st full feature film :) Talihina Sky will make it's debut at the Tribeca Film Festival this year and I'm counting down the minutes to get there to see it!
Way to go, Casey. UNREAL

My many congrats go out to Tony Sacco in Chicago for not only being a proud new dad (oh yes, and working full time) yet still managing to create his own side business to bring a personal dry cleaning and delivery service to the West Loop. Can't wait to spread the word this week once the site is officially live!! WOOHOOO

And last but most definitely not least, 
I'm so psyched for Anthony Neville in Bandon, Ireland for starting his own Sports Tour company! Counting down the minutes to my 30th birthday trip in September to get over to Ireland and catch a Rugby game (amongst many other adventures planned!)
WAY TO GO DUDE. So excited for you guys :)

Thoughts on Random Acts of Kindness

Yesterday I walked in my apartment only to be greeted by a pile of bills, coupons, junk mail, and a completely unexpected handmade post card sent all the way from California from Cailen!

Absolutely MADE my day :)

I can't wait to create some homemade goodies like this myself over the weekend to return the R.A.K and pass along to others.

Happ-happ-HAPPIEST birthday to my best friend "Mega",

who in the course of our 12 years of bestieship, 

has gone on to achieve her Masters from Northwestern, 
worked her a#% off to become a Producer
at the Oprah Winfrey Show (no biggie),
 has become the proud Aunt to 7 beautiful babes...

the wife to one of the most wonderful men I know to exist, 

and the mother to the most adorable baby girl on the planet :)

We have traveled to 10 countries and over 50 cities together.

We have laughed through the absolute best of times,
and cried together through the worst. 

There isn't a friend who has stood by me through more,

and today -- on your 30th birthday,
I couldn't be happier that you were born,
or feel more grateful and lucky to have you in my life.

Moral of the Story: Stay Inspired!

Life Is Looking UP :)

I'll be the first to admit that these last two months
haven't exactly been my best color :(

Both work and the weather have been at/below average,
and it's fairly obvious to most that I haven't necessarily
been the best possible version of myself.

BUT!
I can proudly and confidently quote Sir Bob Dylan tonight
that, the times -- they are a changin' :)

Had such a great evening catching up with my bestie, Mega
(and seeing beautiful baby Olivia before she went to bed!)
and then on my cab ride home, when I asked the driver for
"$4 back please" -- he handed me two $2 bills!

Granted I may have consumed a bottle of wine prior,
 but the sheer elation in my voice could not be contained.
Immediately upon receiving these treasures I shouted,
"TWO TWO DOLLAR BILLS!?!?!? AWESOME!!!"

He graciously replied, 

"You seem like a nice person. 

And after all, it is Twosday"

"BG" Baby Shower

Lady and the "Tramp"

There was something missing in my life,
but I couldn't quite put a finger on it.
 
I was happy with my new apartment and all, 
but something just felt very off :(
 
Please don't get me wrong, I entirely agree that money can't buy you happiness. But I gotta say, it sure can buy you things to help make you very happy :)
 
CASE.IN.POINT!

One of my life long besties was in town over the weekend 
and paid forward possibly the ultimate compliment.
 
She (half seriously) said, 
"I hope you never change!"
  
{insert shaking heads and laughter here}
  
In return I said, 
"LET'S JUMP"
 
And so we all gladly did just that :)

It's the little things that do it for me :)
