I was trying to digest this epic wedding in doses,

Inside the Actors Studio with James Franco
First things first...
A major massive THANKS! to our
ever fabulous friends, Sam & Jami Brown
ever fabulous friends, Sam & Jami Brown
for allowing us the opportunity to be within drooling distance
of the also ever fabulous, James Franco
and James Lipton :)
Since Mr.Lipton has the proud fortune to be the Godfather of the beautiful Brown sisters -- Sam & Jami have the fortune of getting tickets to his TV show, Inside the Actors Studio :)
And since they were not able to make it last night,
Alyssa & I were the lucky-ducks who had the absolute honor
to be offered their seats... Ummm, YES. PLEASE. THANK YOU!

(i snuck a pic with my phone before they came on...shhh!)
As if James Franco isn't just fun to look at,
I thought he was even more awesome to listen to.
The interview lasted 2 and a half hours and I never once lost interest -- James Lipton's questions were fantastic and the answers were honest, oftentimes hilarious, and always inspiring.
James Franco is not only a great actor, but he's a perpetual student -- with four Masters programs under his belt, he's now getting his PhD at Yale. I mean, seriously?!
If I can accomplish a fraction of what he's already done in my entire lifetime, I will be thrilled. Meanwhile, I'm anxious to see

Confession:
Last night I passed on an invite to see Cosi Fan Tutte at the Met :(
For me to say "no" to just about anything means one of two things:
A) I'm sick or getting sick
B) I'm exhausted
Sadly this week it's a combo of both. Arrrgh
But not gonna lie, although it was way nice to put on my jammers at 7pm, catchup on all-things-DVR, and go to bed early --
I definitely could have done without all the singing men in wigs in every single "dream" I had... Thanks, subconscious ;)

Chow-Chow for now :)
I've been thinking a lot lately about "growing up".
What do I wanna be?
What do I wanna do?
How'm I gonna do it?
You know, all that,
"HOLY SHIT! 30's AROUND THE CORNER!"
"HOLY SHIT! 30's AROUND THE CORNER!"
kinda stuff...
And although I have no concrete answers at this very moment, there are a few things I know for certain, and one of them is that
I'd like to own a dog :)
I'd like to own a dog :)
So I've been researching breeds lately
and have fallen in love with the chow-chow:
and have fallen in love with the chow-chow:
I promise, it's not just because it's the next best thing to having
an Ewok and/or Mogwai
an Ewok and/or Mogwai
(although the resemblance is truly uncanny!)
And it's not just because I saw this picture of how one family painted theirs to look like a Panda Bear for Halloween
And it's not just because I want to
hug this little puffalump to pieces...
hug this little puffalump to pieces...
(although I very much do!)
It's because I think someday I could be a great dog owner,
and this little fella could be my perfect partner in crime :)

Congratulations, Katelyn & Nick!
There really are no words to describe how fortunate I feel to have you both in my life and to have shared this magical weekend with you, your wonderful families, and countless friends :)
(And I vow to write something a little more eloquent once my braincells regenerate from this absolutely amazing weekend)

The Howard & Pritchard fams have arrived from London :)

If you have a chance this week to make it over to the UCB or catch one of the great acts in the NY Comedy Festival line-up,
I highly recommend doing so :)

"Houston, we have a problem..."
Riddle me this:
If digital cameras have only been mass/affordable for cerca
8 years now, how is it humanly possible that I've officially gone through SIX of them?!
Tonight I paid homage to my digi cam graveyard
and not gonna lie, for a hot sec it made me sad to think
that I've officially had more cameras than men in my life.

Bust!
With that, I'd like to dedicate this post as an
Ode to all my Digies :)
Dear Digi Fam,
You’re the silent friend but everyone loves having you around. The mere sight of your presence makes people smile :)
The countless times I’ve dropped you. Let other people hold you. Not charged your battery when I was supposed to. Filled your memory card to the max… but you still turn back on every single day and come back for more, zooming and snapping like no other.

You capture moments that sometimes only we have the fortune to see together – and because of you, I am able to share these moments online and bring joy to others.

In the 8 years we’ve all been together, you have redefined “Kodak Moment” at least 15,109 times (or so my hard drive tells me).
In turn, you are the reason every photo site known to man likes to spam the shit out of my inbox.

Dear Digi Fam,
Since we’ve been together you’ve amplified every memory I have post 2002 – you’ve even captured a few (hundred)
that I would never remember otherwise...
that I would never remember otherwise...
You’ve been there for me through thick and thin
(well, more thick than thin, let’s not kid ourselves)

(well, more thick than thin, let’s not kid ourselves)

You’ve put up with a gazillion “say cheese!” moments
and never once rolled an eye.

Sometimes when people see me they don’t even ask how I’m doing. They’re all, “Where’s Digi? You have Digi?
Digi’s coming out tonight, right?”
Digi’s coming out tonight, right?”
You’ve been more than cameras,
you’re like mini companions!
We’ve been quite the pair, you's and me...
you’re like mini companions!
We’ve been quite the pair, you's and me...
You never give anyone the red eye – you are so kind like that.
You never get impatient when I take 116 pictures on a random Monday or simply when I take a gazillion shots of nonsensical awesomeness ;)

If, for matters out of our control, we are to part
(i.e. cell phones #1,2,3, 4 & 5… may they rest in peace)
please know that I absolutely love your gutz!

Ready :)
Now that I’ve officially broken up with the ex,
(and chocolate’s made all of my jeans shrink)
I’m ready to turn the page and am psyched for “the season”!
Per usual, looks like this city is one step ahead…
Bryant Park ice rink, open for business!

The Freshman 15
Dear Mom & Dad,
I love college! This Fall has been SO much fun :)
I've made lots of new friends in the dorm. They are all super cool.
But I just can't figure out why I seem to be gaining weight :(
I mean, I am eating sensibly...
and I'm definitely staying hydrated...
So I used your my money to see a wizard nutritionist
and she/he said that this is very normal for us freshman girls -
and that I should be thankful that I don't have bigger problems,
like many others do...
and that I should be thankful that I don't have bigger problems,
like many others do...
So at least I've got that goin' for me,
which is nice!
Anyways, just wanted to write to let you know that I'm drunk safe and I really love college -- I never want to leave!
Please feel free to come visit send money anytime you'd like :)
Love,
Stacey
