"Houston, we have a problem..."

Riddle me this:
If digital cameras have only been mass/affordable for cerca
8 years now, how is it humanly possible that I've officially gone through SIX of them?!

Tonight I paid homage to my digi cam graveyard
and not gonna lie, for a hot sec it made me sad to think
that I've officially had more cameras than men in my life.
Bust!

With that, I'd like to dedicate this post as an
Ode to all my Digies :)

Dear Digi Fam,

Since we’ve been together you’ve amplified every memory I have post 2002 – you’ve even captured a few (hundred)
that I would never remember otherwise...

You’ve been there for me through thick and thin
(well, more thick than thin, let’s not kid ourselves)

You’ve put up with a gazillion “say cheese!” moments
and never once rolled an eye.

You’re the silent friend but everyone loves having you around. The mere sight of your presence makes people smile :)

The countless times I’ve dropped you. Let other people hold you. Not charged your battery when I was supposed to. Filled your memory card to the max… but you still turn back on every single day and come back for more, zooming and snapping like no other.

Sometimes when people see me they don’t even ask how I’m doing. They’re all, “Where’s Digi? You have Digi?
Digi’s coming out tonight, right?”

You’ve been more than cameras,
you’re like mini companions!

We’ve been quite the pair, you's and me...
You never give anyone the red eye – you are so kind like that.
You never get impatient when I take 116 pictures on a random Monday or simply when I take a gazillion shots of nonsensical awesomeness ;)

You capture moments that sometimes only we have the fortune to see together – and because of you, I am able to share these moments online and bring joy to others.

In the 8 years we’ve all been together, you have redefined “Kodak Moment” at least 15,109 times (or so my hard drive tells me).
In turn, you are the reason every photo site known to man likes to spam the shit out of my inbox.

If, for matters out of our control, we are to part
(i.e. cell phones #1,2,3, 4 & 5… may they rest in peace)
please know that I absolutely love your gutz!

X to the oh so many O's
