Alyssa gave me this hysterical book for Christmas but I can't seem to find a comfortable opportunity to read it ...Honestly, I've never really paid all that much attention to the race of my surroundings, but now that I own this book, I'm finding that everywhere I go in my L.E.S neighborhood that I'm the minority ...
Brought it with me on the train ... sat between an Asian family and a Mexican dude
Brought it with me while I ate lunch ...
sat next to an Indian couple
Brought it with me to the coffee bar ...
the barista was a beautiful Black woman
It's not like anyone would care that I'm reading it (or that they'd pay any attention to me at all anyways), but since it makes me laugh out loud every five seconds (and those who know me can attest to the fact that my laugh is not exactly hush-hush)... I think I'll resort to reading this one at home by my lonesome ;)
