Welcome to the world, Bennett Simon!

James Bennett Simon made the world all the brighter the minute he was born on June 1st, 2016! I had the true joy, privilege, and pleasure to get to meet him yesterday at the University of Chicago Comer Children's Hospital. 

30 years ago, I met Tyler before we started Kindergarten having grown up blocks away from one another in Glenview. 

Half a life ago, I met Paul during our freshman year at Michigan. 

Four short years ago, these two met at a party at my apartment :)

Love, marriage, and a beautiful baby boy later, 

my heart physically melted while holding this little miracle in my arms for the first time yesterday. 

So many tears of joy have come about these past 7 weeks Bennett has been in the hospital. He is a fighter, a warrior, and clearly already winning at life to have these two as parents :)

We weathered the storm and literally got to enjoy the rainbow after. Coldplay was one for the record books!

Adults Night Out & Nerd Nite

Feeling like we won the symbiotic situation lottery bringing Adults Night Out and Nerd Nite together as one. 

Over 3,000 guests enjoyed a kid free evening at the zoo with a drink in hand and umpteen amazing special chats to take in. 

Huge special thanks to our friends from Nerd Nite Chicago for making this the best event I've ever worked on. Still on such a high from the success of the evening and the fantastic feedback from guests. We certainly could all have done without the monsoon at the end but whattya gonna do?!

Can't wait to do it again in September :)

Nature in Focus

Congratulations to all of the Nature in Focus photo competition winners at Lincoln Park Zoo! Please visit our exhibit through September. 

Had a blast working on this project. Huge shout out to the Facilities team for creating the space and physically putting this together. I brought my gnome for moral support. Obvs.
