When Presence is a Present

I look forward to our annual "Glenview Girls" Christmas Party every single year.  After knowing each other for the vast majority of our lives, it is so special to me that we're all able to grow as friends as we continue to grow as human beings :) 

Collectively among us, there are now countless countries traveled, two doctors of PT,  a manager of a medical clinic, half a dozen masters degrees earned, published writers, and six incredibly fortunate children (who clearly have hot successful mamma's ;)

Fact: 

My next door neighbor's house is ginormous

(Note: this is not an apartment complex, 

it's an actual single family home in Lincoln Park

whose American flag is larger than my old apt in NYC)

Fact & Confession: 

My current apartment is just 17 miles from where I grew up, 

and it makes me smile every time I pass this American flag, 

before turning onto my parent's street...

My Heart Goes Out to NYC

As of tomorrow, all of my friends in Hoboken, the 
East Village, and Lower East Side will have power again. 
Seeing their posts and pictures 
and hearing stories since Hurricane Sandy 
have been entirely devastating -- my heart and
 every well-wish goes out to each and every
one of the families who have lost their apartments, 
homes and personal belongings/memorabilia 
during this natural disaster.
