There is so much I needed to do last night ...

• Call my Grandma Stella
• Update reports for work
• Get a head start on month-end billings for work
• Work out
• Grocery shop
• Do laundry
• Mail engagement card
• Mail baby gift(s)
• Upload/share pix from wknd
• Blog about Lad & Lesley's domestic partnership :)
• Blog about Melissa Hall's 30th birthday!
• Edit the new chapters of a book I'm working on
• Offer to help out with 10 yr High School reunion stuffs
• Make dinner plans with friend I haven't seen in forever
• Yada, yada, yada ...

But what did I do instead?!

I turned off my Crackberry

and turned on the movie "Big"

solely to laugh at the two best scenes ever made :)

I figured life's to-do-list wouldn't miss me for a night ;)

All Company Meeting ... Take TWO!

Once a year our whole team gets together in San Fran :)

Mind you, there are only 25 of us,

and the company is only all of 2 years old,

but it's a "Work hard. Play hard" operation

and the 2nd annual all-company meeting was a hit!

I finally had the opportunity to put faces to names with
all the new fantastic peeps that have recently come onboard

and I can proudly say that everyone I met was SO awesome.

To all the new Nuts,

To my fellow not-so-new Nuts,

it was SOOO great to seee you all again!

Peanut Labs has come a long way,
and maybe I'm just drinkin the Kool-aid,

but I love a lot of things about working for a start-up ...

There's something to be said about a young culture

That the founders remain well under the age of 30

and not-so-long-ago had zero credit history!

That there are still only 2 offices ...

oh ya, and remote peeps like me ;)

I love that a paper airplane flying competition
is not out-of-the-ordinary :)

And that Peanut Labs shot glasses
are more abundant than staplers ;)

But most of all, I genuinely enjoy

working with SUCH smart people!

I love the ambition and drive
to help a start-up succeed
because it makes me actually want to
wake up and start :)

Off to join my fellow Nuts in San Fran!

Happy 40th Anniversary Sesame Street!

Team Ma! struck the courts again this Fall

and I must admit ...

we were better than ever before :)

For the first time we stormed the playoffs
and ALMOST squeaked out a league championship
(arrrgh, it was sooooooo close!)

Condolences to the red team for losing to us ...

and congrats to the blue team for beating us
(insert hot face here)

But all's well that ends well, right?

A huge shout out
to the ever awesome members of "Ma!"

Although we finished #2 this Fall,

I just know we're gonna win it all this Winter :)
